Gang Rape Case in Delhi: A case of gang rape of a 12 year old minor has come to light in Sadar Bazaar, North Delhi. The incident occurred on January 1, but the police was informed about it on Thursday (January 4). DCP North Manoj Kumar Meena said on Saturday (January 6) that as soon as the complaint was received, a case was immediately registered under Section 376D (gang rape) and other related sections. All five accused have been arrested.
Police have identified one of the suspects as Suresh Kumar, 38, who sells tea in the Sadar Bazaar slum. A woman is also an accused in this case. It is alleged that she had taken the girl away by luring her. This woman has been identified as Beauty. She lives in this area. The police have arrested both of them, while the three other accused of gang rape are aged 12, 14 and 15 years. These three minors have also been caught by the police.
The woman was taken away by coaxing
According to a police officer, they were informed about the incident by the victim, a resident of Bawana and a rag picker. She told that she goes in groups and collects garbage in Bawana. On January 1, when she was alone in Sadar Bazaar, a woman named Beauty came to meet her. Beauty earlier lived in Bawana and both knew each other. Beauty coaxed him and took him from the house to the place where the four accused were already waiting. After this, all four raped the minor at a secluded place.
The victim remained silent for two days due to threats
After the incident, the victim somehow cleaned herself and boarded the train for Bawana. Beauty had threatened him not to tell anyone about the incident. Because of this she remained silent for two days. On Thursday, when she came to Sadar Bazaar again to collect garbage, she told the whole story to her cousin living in the area. After this the cousin informed the minor’s parents and then everyone went to the police station and registered a case.
The police caught everyone within a few hours of receiving the information.
Police say that within a few hours of receiving information about the case, a team was formed and all the suspects were arrested. Police suspect that the accused had given some money to Beauty to get a girl for them. After taking the money, Beauty saw the minor and coaxed him and took him with her.
